DATA PROTECTION

International Christian Fellowship Karlsruhe registered charity

Responsible body in the sense of the data protection laws, in particular the EU data protection basic regulation (DSGVO), is:

Collection of general information

When accessing our website general information is automatically gathered. This information (Server Logfiles) contains, for example, the kind of web browser, operating system and domain of your service provider. This kind of information does not allow any conclusion about the user. This information is a technical necessity to deliver the contents of websites correctly and is therefore necessary. We statistically evaluate anonymous information of this type in order to optimize our website and the technology behind it.

Cookies

Like many other websites, we also use so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small text files that are transferred from a website server to your hard drive. This automatically gives us certain data, such as IP address, browser used, operating system via your computer and your connection to the Internet.
Cookies cannot be used to start programs or transfer viruses to a computer. Based on the information contained in cookies, we can make navigation easier for you and enable our websites to be displayed correctly.
Under no circumstances will the data we collect be passed on to third parties or linked to personal data without your consent.
Of course, you can also access our website without cookies. Internet browsers are regularly set to accept cookies. You can deactivate the use of cookies at any time via the settings of your browser. Please use the help functions of your internet browser to find out how you can change these settings. Please note that individual functions of our website may not work if you have deactivated the use of cookies.

SSL encryption

In order to protect the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption methods (e.g. SSL) via HTTPS.

Newsletter / E-Mail

When registering to purchase tickets and our newsletter, the data you provide will only be used for this purpose. Subscribers can also be informed via email about circumstances that are relevant to the service or registration (for example changes to the newsletter offer or technical conditions). For an effective registration we need a valid email address. For this we log the order of the newsletter. Standardized tracking is used to evaluate the use of the newsletter. Further data is not collected. The data is used exclusively for sending the newsletter. We have commissioned the service providers “Cleverreach” and “Mailjet”, who save the data for us and send the newsletters for us.
You can revoke your consent to the storage of your personal data and its use for sending the newsletter at any time. There is a corresponding link in every newsletter. You can also unsubscribe directly from this website at any time or inform us of your request using the contact option at the end of this data protection notice.

Contact form

If you contact us by email or contact form, the information you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing the request and for possible follow-up questions.

Use of Matomo

This website uses Matomo, an open source software for statistical evaluation of visitor access. Piwik uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and that enable an analysis of your use of the website.
The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website is stored on a server in Germany.
The IP address is anonymized immediately after processing and before it is saved. You have the option of preventing the installation of cookies by changing the settings of your browser software. We would like to point out that with the appropriate setting, not all functions of this website may be available.
You can decide whether a unique web analysis cookie may be stored in your browser to enable the operator of the website to collect and analyze various statistical data.

Use of script libraries (Google web fonts)

In order to present our content correctly and graphically appealing across browsers, we use script libraries and font libraries such as Google Webfonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/). Google web fonts are transferred to your browser’s cache to avoid multiple loading. If the browser does not support Google Webfonts or prevents access, content is displayed in a standard font.
Calling script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the operator of the library. It is theoretically possible – but currently unclear whether and if so for what purposes – that operators of corresponding libraries collect data.
The privacy policy of the library operator Google can be found here: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/

Use of Google reCaptcha

We use Google reCaptcha service to determine whether a person or a computer makes a particular entry in our contact or newsletter form. Google uses the following data to check whether you are a human or a computer: IP address of the device used, the website that you visit and on which the captcha is integrated, the date and duration of the visit, the identification data of the device used Browser and operating system type, Google account if you are logged in to Google, mouse movements on the reCaptcha areas and tasks for which you have to identify images. The legal basis for the data processing described is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f General data protection regulation. There is a legitimate interest on our part in this data processing to ensure the security of our website and to protect us from automated entries (attacks).

Use of Google Maps

This website uses Google Maps API to visually display geographic information. When using Google Maps, Google also collects, processes and uses data about the use of map functions by visitors. You can find more information about data processing by Google in the Google data protection information. There you can also change your personal data protection settings in the data protection center.
You can find detailed instructions on how to manage your own data in connection with Google products here.

Embedded YouTube videos

We embed YouTube videos on some of our websites. The corresponding plugins are operated by YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with the YouTube plugin, a connection to YouTube servers is established. YouTube is informed which pages you visit. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can assign your surfing behavior to you personally. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account beforehand.
If a YouTube video is started, the provider uses cookies that collect information about user behavior.
If you have deactivated the storage of cookies for the Google ad program, you will not have to expect such cookies when watching YouTube videos. However, YouTube also stores non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you want to prevent this, you must block the storage of cookies in the browser.
Further information on data protection at “YouTube” can be found in the provider’s data protection declaration at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/
