WHY WE EXIST

As a church, it is our passion that people become more like Jesus Christ, live fearlessly, and positively influence their environment.

Our Statement of Faith

As ICF, we are part of the worldwide Christian Church and share the Apostles’ Creed with it. In addition, we are guided by the Lausanne Covenant. Here, we explain a bit more about what we believe:

God is eternal and almighty. He was not created, but is the source of space, time, and all life. And, although He is only one God, He exists in three persons. The Father is the creator of the universe. Jesus Christ became human as the Son of God to save the world. The Holy Spirit works in the world and desires to live in us, accompany us, and teach us.

Because God is love, He invites us to turn to Him and have a living relationship with Him. When we accept His invitation and establish this relationship with God, we become more and more like Him through His work and experience true freedom—now and for eternity.

Humanity turned away from God and replaced Him with itself. Instead of seeking what God desires, people put their own interests first. This broke the relationship of trust between God and all of His creation. We are trapped in this brokenness—distrust, selfishness, hostility, and destructive thoughts. We cannot escape this prison by our own means.

God resolved this hopeless situation: Jesus Christ came to this world by being born as a human being. He loved radically, gave dignity to people, and taught and lived God’s principles. Jesus gave up all His privileges and became our servant. He died on the cross to take upon Himself everything that separates us from God and burdens us, such as our sins, shame, wounds, and loneliness. Death was conquered by the resurrection of Jesus. Thus, we are declared righteous and can live in God’s name.

Jesus Christ calls us to live completely for Him and with Him. When we accept His forgiveness and entrust our lives to Him, we become new people through His grace. The gift of this salvation is confessed through baptism and celebrated in Holy Communion. God’s mission is for us to love Him and our neighbor, positively impacting our environment. As a church, we gather in celebrations and small groups to worship God, experience Him, and grow in faith. We invite everyone to be part of His story.

God’s story is not over yet: after His resurrection, Jesus Christ returned to His Father in heaven. From there, He will return and establish His kingdom of eternal peace. Then, God will raise the dead, and every person will give an account to Him. Everyone who believes in Jesus will be with God eternally. God will wipe away every tear, and there will be no more pain, suffering, or death.

Our story

What started with a dream in 2011 still moves us just as much as it did back then. In this church, we can meet and know God personally, cultivate relationships with people, and use and develop our talents and gifts.
