Our Kids Vision

Our Mission: Why We Exist

As a church, our passion is for children to get to know Jesus Christ,
grow more like Him, live fearlessly, and make a positive difference in their communities!

Our Vision: What We Dream Of

We dream that ICF Kids will be a place where children come to know God through Bible stories, encounter Him personally, and experience His love and power. We lay the foundation so that children may grow up to be independent believers and follow Jesus with enthusiasm. We help them enter into conversation with God, respond concretely to what they have heard, and make their own decisions in their lives together with God. We dream that children will be able to discover, apply, and develop their talents. We design ICF Kids with children in mind by giving them opportunities to actively participate, try their hand at different activities, and express their creativity.

Our Values: Who We Are

1. Authentic

It is important to us to involve the children in our faith life on Sundays and to connect with them on a personal level. We want to help parents live out their faith authentically and actively alongside their children in their daily lives. Here’s a link for parents looking for inspiration.

Keep the words I am speaking to you today in your hearts! Teach them to your children! Talk about them constantly, whether you are at home or on the road, whether you are going to sleep or getting up.
(Deuteronomy 6:6–7 – HFA)

2. Relevant

It is important to us to prepare content that is age-appropriate and relevant to everyday life, and to present it in an engaging way using modern methods and media. We want to help children seek God’s presence and take their next step in faith.

Until now, I had only heard about you, but now I have seen you with my own eyes.
(Bible verse: Job 42:5 – NLB)

3. Excellent

It is important to us to give the children the best. Our hope is that ICF Kids will be the best hour of the week. No effort is too great for us. Things really come alive when everyone contributes their talents—both the staff and the children.

Each of you should serve one another with the gift God has given you. When you use God’s many gifts in this way, you are using them properly.
(1 Peter 4:10 – HFA)

4. Hospitable

It is important to us that every child feels at home in the church. To achieve this, we focus on building a personal connection with the child and provide a safe environment with familiar caregivers. We encourage the children to make friends with one another and to strengthen those friendships through small groups.

One person is easily overpowered, but two can stand their ground. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
(Ecclesiastes 4:12 – New International Version)

5. Excited

It is important to us that children experience joy, creativity, and fun. At ICF Kids, it’s okay to be loud, colorful, fun, and lively—because our God is a God of joy, beauty, and creativity! Our goal is for every child to go home filled with joy, hope, and courage—with gratitude in their hearts for a wonderful God!

The joy of the Lord is your strength.
(Nehemiah 8:10 – LUT)

6. Generous

It is important to us to reflect God’s generous nature through our generosity with time and money. On the one hand, we make a point of spending time with each child and are happy to give them our full attention; on the other hand, we encourage the children to discover for themselves that the biblical principle of sharing is a blessing.

Blessed are the generous, for they give food to the poor.
(Proverbs 22:9 – NLB)
