Water baptism

Born again

Whether you came to faith last week or 10 years ago – water baptism is a powerful and joyful step in your faith.

With baptism, you testify before God and people: I belong to Jesus. I have a new identity.

Why baptism?

Baptism is:

  • a public confession of your faith
  • a sign of your new identity in Christ
  • a step of obedience
  • a new beginning

Many describe their baptism as one of the most beautiful and significant days of their lives:

“The day of my baptism was one of the most beautiful days of my life.”

“For me, baptism was the step to confirm my decision for Jesus. The power and love of God that I experienced in the process was overwhelming.”

Frequently asked questions about baptism

Here you will find answers to the most important questions.

General information about baptism

Baptism is a conscious step in faith in Jesus. It expresses that a person is leaving their old life behind and deciding to follow Jesus. Baptism is a visible sign of this personal decision.

Anyone who has personally decided to live a life with Jesus and wants to take this step consciously.

Every baptism is valid. Even if someone later falls away from faith, the baptism does not lose its meaning.

People who were baptized as children and could not make this decision consciously for themselves at the time are baptized by us if they personally decide to do so today.

Get Free is a guided prayer offering from ICF that supports people in letting go of inner blocks, old patterns, or burdens to Jesus and experiencing personal freedom.
