Don’t miss the 2026 Father-Child Weekend! Enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings of Berlin, get active by biking, swimming, and who knows what else… and chat with other dads while the kids have a blast and burn off all their energy!
Biking, nature, swimming, campfires, fun & depth!
We’re heading back to beautiful Brandenburg on our bikes… this time south of Berlin. The route is about 100 km long and can be completed in two days without luggage.
As fathers, you know your kids best. The only requirement is that the child must ride a 24-inch bike.
There are a total of 45 seats! Sign up as soon as possible!
Cycling, nature, fun, and depth!
We’ll be staying at the Wittenberg Youth Hostel, located along the Elbe Cycle Route. Along the way, we’ll get plenty of views of the Elbe River and the Elbe meadows.
The weekend costs €100 per person (accommodation, linens, and all meals). A towel set (shower towel, hand towel, and bath mat) can be booked on-site for €2.50.
What to expect this weekend…
Friday, June 19, 2026:
Travel independently by car or bike, or take the train from Berlin Central Station/Südkreuz directly to Lutherstadt Wittenberg Central Station (travel time approx. 30 minutes or 1 hour 20 minutes)
Let’s meet at the youth hostel—everyone, if possible—by 6:00 p.m. at the latest for dinner.
Saturday, June 20, 2026:

Bike Tour [approx. 50 km without luggage]: Old Elbe River near Bleddin – Elster Windmill – Loop from Trebitz
Packed lunch for on the go
Leisure / Sports and Fun on Site

Sunday, June 21, 2026:
Breakfast (then pack our bags, but we won’t be taking them with us on the bike tour because we’re doing a loop)
Bike tour [approx. 50 km]: Elbe Cycle Route – Views of the Elbe – Loop through the Kapen Biosphere Reserve
Packed lunch for on the go
Leave by car from the DJH or by train from Lutherstadt Wittenberg and head back to the city by 4:00 p.m. at the latest!
