Blessing of children
“LET THE CHILDREN COME TO US” – JESUS (Mark 10:14)

Several times a year, we hold a child dedication, where parents personally place their child under God’s protection and speak individual blessings over them.
Together with the parents, as a whole church we hope that this child will choose a personal relationship with God and that HE will take the most important role on their journey through life. As part of this, we also want to bless the parents and speak God’s wisdom and strength over them as they raise their child.
The child blessing is also a wonderful opportunity to invite people whom you wish to shape your child on their life’s journey. Friends, family, godparents – all those who should pray with you for this child and speak into their life. To intentionally shape this prayer moment as parents, we will provide you with ideas and inspirations on how you can experience this special moment meaningfully.
While you pray for your child, the whole church prays with you. Each child is shown on screen with a blessing verse of your choice—this way, the entire congregation can see your child, bless them, and pray for them. It’s a moving moment that shows: you are not alone on this journey.
Child blessing is a day of gratitude. We can be so thankful to God for giving us our child. Psalm 127 describes how much children are a gift from God—a treasure entrusted to us. We want to celebrate this moment of gratitude together.
Child blessing is a special moment—but also a lifestyle. Our hope is that we bless our children with our words and actions not just on this day, but in everyday life. This day is therefore also intended to equip you with practical ideas and inspiration on how you can bless your child in daily life.
The child blessing takes place several times a year during the 10 AM and 12 PM services. We have limited spots per date, so please register in good time. This also gives you enough lead time to cordially invite friends and relatives.
