Deepening faith
Deepening faith means more than gathering knowledge – it means following Jesus. Together we become practical with the discipleship steps EXPLORE, GET FREE and IMPACT, live real community in our small and team groups and create spaces in which God shapes our hearts – with the aim of becoming more and more like Jesus and living our faith powerfully in everyday life.

Baptism at ICF Munich
Are you considering Baptism as your next step? Here are a few thoughts on what Baptism means here at ICF Munich:
We believe in a God who loves you unconditionally and desires a personal relationship with you. The beginning of this relationship is a conscious decision for Jesus.
Baptism is a visible sign of this decision. You are expressing that you are entrusting your life to Jesus, that you want to follow him and start a new life with him.
The Bible describes the significance of Baptism as follows:
“For by Baptism your old life was put to an end; you were buried with Christ. But you have also been raised with him to a new life …” (Col 2:12).
If you align your life with God’s ideas, this will shape your life and your environment.
Step by step, you can discover what God has in store for you, how he carries you and where he invites you to trust him and take courageous steps of faith.
This is why the Bible invites every person to take this step:
“Repent to God! (…) Let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, so that God may forgive your sins and you may receive the Holy Spirit.” (Acts 2:38).
Basically, you don’t need any special knowledge or a long lead time for Baptism – in biblical times, it was often the first step of faith for people after they had invited Jesus into their lives. Nevertheless, we urge you to prepare well for your Baptism.
We recommend that you attend Get Free as an ideal basis for preparation. It’s all about you and your relationship with Jesus and how you can live with God’s power in all areas of life. Your Get Free companion can also be your baptism companion. This could be your Small Group or Team Group leader, for example, or you can think with them about who might be a good alternative companion for you.
In addition to participating in Get Free, you are welcome to watch our podcast “What Baptism means for your life as a Christian” HERE, in which frequently asked questions about Baptism are answered.
If you are not yet part of a group, we recommend that you sign up for Explore to experience God together with others.
It is important to us that every person chooses a life with Jesus of their own free will and with full awareness.
For this reason, we do not baptize infants and toddlers. However, we are happy to bless them in a dedicated Child Blessing Celebration.
If your child expresses a wish to be baptized on their own, feel free to approach our ICF Kids team on Sundays or contact [email protected]. Together, we can discuss how we can accompany your child on this journey.
For minors under the age of 16, we require the consent of both legal guardians.
