In this sermon Leo Bigger warns that the mistake that will destroy your faith is neglecting the “shoes of salvation” — failing to put on God’s peace and readiness described in Ephesians 6:14-15. If you walk without daily peace (Colossians 1:20-21; Colossians 3:15) or the small protective “spikes” of spiritual authority (Luke 10:19; Romans 16:20), you’ll slip, get wounded, and lose ground.
Practical takeaway: every morning put on the shoe of peace — receive Christ’s forgiveness (Philippians 4:7), let peace rule your heart, bless those who attack you, persevere in sharing the gospel, and guard your home and workplace (Psalm 139:7-10).
Reflection/action: will you put on God’s peace today, stand firm, and step out with courage and blessing?
